I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to serve the Briggsdale Community and Briggsdale School as the Agricultural Educator. I grew up northwest of Briggsdale on my family's cow-calf operation. I am a graduate of Highland High School. After finishing my high school education career, I attended Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado to begin my journey to become an Agricultural Education teacher. I continued on to Colorado State University to finish my education. I just recently graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Master's of Applied Science in Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications.
Educating others about agriculture has been a passion of mine since a very young age. As a member of the Highland FFA chapter, I worked with others to find innovative ways to provide others with quality information about agriculture. I continued with my passion for educating others by serving as an Executive Committee Member on the Colorado State FFA Officer Team for the 2012-2013 year. I have a deep passion for FFA and educating the youth of agriculture.
It is my mission to educate youth about agriculture by utilizing innovative, hands-on techniques. I strive to teach to each student's learning styles in order to enhance his or her understanding of the agricultural industry. It is extremely important to me that each student walks out of my classroom with an increased knowledge of the various subjects that I teach.
